Deuteronomy 22:24Deuteronomy 22:24

너희는 그들을 둘 다 성읍 문으로 끌어내고 그들을 돌로 쳐 죽일 것이니 그 처녀는 성읍 중에 있어서도 소리 지르지 아니하였음이요 그 남자는 그 이웃의 아내를 욕보였음이라 너는 이같이 하여 너의 중에 악을 제할지니라

  • Bold, larger (ˈ) = say it strong and a little longer — the stressed syllable.
  • Faint = weak and short (a reduced vowel). Don't give every syllable equal weight.
  • Tiny 으 · 트 · 스 = barely voiced. English has no vowel there — stop on the consonant.
  • Whole word faint (the, of, and, to…) = light and quick in a sentence; stress the content words.
  • Small f v θ ð r = sounds Korean doesn't have — f: upper teeth on the lower lip; v: the same, voiced; θ/ð: tongue tip between the teeth; r: tongue curled back, touching nothing.
