혹, 삼년 기근일지 혹, 네가 석달을 대적에게 패하여 대적의 칼에 쫓길 일일지, 혹 여호와의 칼 곧 온역이 사흘동안 이 땅에 유행하며 여호와의 사자가 이스라엘 온 지경을 멸할 일일지 하셨나니 내가 무슨 말로 나를 보내신 이에게 대답할 것을 결정하소서
Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. How to read the Hangul
beginning the Christ salvation
- Bold, larger (ˈ) = say it strong and a little longer — the stressed syllable.
- Faint = weak and short (a reduced vowel). Don't give every syllable equal weight.
- Tiny 으 · 트 · 스 = barely voiced. English has no vowel there — stop on the consonant.
- Whole word faint (the, of, and, to…) = light and quick in a sentence; stress the content words.
- Small f v θ ð r = sounds Korean doesn't have — f: upper teeth on the lower lip; v: the same, voiced; θ/ð: tongue tip between the teeth; r: tongue curled back, touching nothing.
